If you’re new to RedM, it can seem like a lot, but don’t worry, we’re here to help!
You will need:
- A copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 – The online only version is sufficient
- Your preferred gamed launcher
- Steam
- Epic Games
- Rockstar
- A Discord account
- Recording software (optional)

The process of downloading RedM is typically swift, while the installation may require up to 24 hours. To optimize your installation experience, we suggest starting the process prior to leaving your PC for a few hours.
It is important to note that RedM requires you to have both a Rockstar Social Club account, as well as a Cfx account.
RedM is a modification software for Red Dead Redemption Online, which allows anyone to play on a customized dedicated server, powered by Cfx.re.

We recommend that all of our players utilize medal while in the server. Medal is good for easily recording your favorite, and not so favorite moments in the server. We recommend checking the resources and ensuring your build meets the requirements to run medal.
