Dakota River Bend was established with the intent of offering a dedicated space for passionate fans of Red Dead Redemption. The founders, AustinBMX and PonyMacaroni, were dissatisfied with the lackluster updates in the official online gameplay, and started on a mission to create their own Red Dead Online experience. The goal was to provide a platform that offers frequent updates, proactive moderation to tackle toxicity, opportunities for player input and feedback on future updates, and a platform to create unique and engaging stories.
